I finished another block for the Sandy Hook group ..this one for Dylan ... I think it adorable ♥ and it was very fun to stitch ..almost no mistakes! haha 

after that I decided to work on a WIP and Santa was calling my name 

that collar was not! ...it was as much nightmare for me as the cuffs but a few minutes ago I put in the final stitches of it ...so Im hoping the rest is smooth sailing =D

and I really havent done much stitching ...at work either I got caught on that candy crush game and well ive been using my breaks to play instead of stitch

I did get my order for the new flip its from Lizzie Kate ... I think there was a mistake on mine =( I did email Amy at DSL hopefully she gets back to me soon =)  but other than that my stitching hand and pocket have been behaving

this weekend my uncle/boss was out of town ..so we didnt work friday =D its our first Friday off since the year started and ... well now i have lots of things to do and clean because pretty much friday I decided to stitch eat and nap =D and it was great ! ...but now its time to clean and do laundry =( ..and I really dont want to but this place is a mess ..dont worry ill take little break to stitch a bit more on santa and prepare my next block so Ill update you soon

Hello Everybody! 

Well its supposed to be lovely spring over on my side of the world ...and so far spring hasn't sprung ...and I'm loving it =D =D ... I know I know most of you are tired of the cold, snow...rain ...but I love it 

We had a few sunny days where it did go all the way up to 80 and then it was back down to the 60's =) 

I know it wont last long but I will enjoy it while I can 

Today is a cloudy chilly Sunday and I will spend it by stitching and doing some laundry 

Sandy Hook Block #3 for Dylan 

This weekend I've been working on another block for the Sandy Hook Group, I started this one a few days ago but Immediately messed up and since I had to frog I put it away 

Friday after work I picked up again and so far we've been getting along =) ...I'm not done yet but I'm pretty close 

I love these designs they re always so cheerful 

Queen of Hearts

Last weekend I worked a little more on Queen of Hearts, I decided again to work on most of the black and I'm already done with page 20 and working on page 19 =) 

all the rest of the designs have already been release ..but only on the Mini version =( which is like the quarter size of this one =( 

I don't know what I'll do if I should buy them all the same size and just restart this one ...or keep this one big and the rest small ...in the meantime Ive put it away to work on the block and I already purchased the Mad Hatter since he's my all time favorite from that movie ♥

I also started another at work stitchy project ...Let it Snow by Mill Hill I had the bottom two rows done and realized the white thread was already looking a bit dingy =P and well that other Lizzie*Kate took me 6 months I could only imagine how long this one would take me, so after realizing that I couldn't wash painted perforated paper I decided to restart on some Powder Blue 28ct Monaco

Happy Birthday Sis 

Last Friday it was my baby sister's 18th Birthday! ...my god I cant believe it !!

she still fights with Alondra and whines as if they're the same age but She's all grown up now 

So I got her this ice cream cake I was obsessing about all day long 

my goodness are those things hard to cut! she had a few friends over and most of them were over the cake thing and we hadn't even cut a slice yet lol

I tried taking a picture of her with her big blowing a candle make a wish moment ...but shes still kind of shy ...so she blew the candle to shut me up ...and forgot to make a wish  -_- these kids have so much to learn haha

last but not least ...I realized I haven't shared a current picture of my "bubble" for a while and well here she Easter Sunday ...when she was done with the egg hunt ...she got tons of them because since it was cloudy none of the other kids had permission to come out and play, she was very disappointed and vowed to never ever celebrate anything again ...except mothers day ...since she had a lot of fun last mothers day ....and maybe her Birthday haha

But I think she's already forgotten 

Well I'm off to do my first round of laundry *sighs* its like the cleaning never ends

I gotta admit Easter is not really one of my favorites =/ theres something about it that I just dont get, I get the religious aspects ...I get the bunny and the eggs ... I dont get them together =S and In the end I just want the Four day weekend I used to get in Mexico lol 

Maybe its that ...when I was younger living in the US my family did celebrate Easter and all of that ...then we moved back to Mexico and they didnt instead ...everyone is waiting for beach vacations ...parties etc ...So I guess I just have my traditions going bonkers ...and not having tradtions of my own yet 

Instead I dread the day and buy tons of eggs and candy and a beautiful dress for Alondra to wear =/

While I did some candy shopping I managed to finish my work Project =)

So I was finally able to load a picture of the stash I got the other day

the Glendon Place Ive wanted since it was released ! ...and kisses for snowman since I saw it on a magazine but never actually got around to ordering either one ... and Now I have them and I cant wait to start =) 

Maybe kisses for snowman will be my new work piece but I think its too much for just 2 15min breaks ...(if I managed to get those breaks) 

I got the Tatty Teddy kit for my friend =D =D she just got engaged!! and is planning to have her wedding in October ! and Ive always wanted to stitch one of these and Since I am not getting married anytime soon ...or ever it was the perfect excuse to get it =) 

Im going to switch the Aida for some Opalescent Evenweave I think it would look cute 

I also have my eye on another kit thats a bit more ...formal? grown up? 

Im also going to be a bridesmaid at the wedding and Alondra will be doing something, so I need to look for two perfect Fushia Dresses and Silver shoes o_O! 

so I did put together my little DVD shelf ...and thats were I decided to put my little pillow for now =) 

and I continue to work on Queen of Hearts, was filling in some color but my OCD wont let me, I like to work kinda in a eliminating color kind of way ...you know what I mean? and with all these colors I cant do it and the thought of pulling out a skein ...stitching 1 X and then putting it away pisses me off lol 

so i'll just continue working with black for now until I see enough simbols to consider pulling out the skein worth it 

so Alondra is out of the shower ! time to get her dressed and get food ready for today =D

the pillow came out bigger than I thought it would be ...I guess thats what happens when you dont have a ruler =P ....so now its a bit too big for what I had planned ...but it might look good in my DVD shelf Im about to put together

So Alondra has two weeks off ...that means I have been able to Stitch in the evenings :)
I worked on my LHN ... and left the outside border to be finished Monday night ...I come home and my thread is nowhere to be found!  ...I guess I don't have it!  I don't know
so I ordered a new one and I think It should be here Wednesday or Thursday
in the meantime my 123Stitch order arrived with my fabric so I went ahead and started Queen of Hearts :D
the two pictures are from yesterday and today's progress ...not much but its something!  And I'm loving it
Did I mention I got another two goodies I've had my eye on for quite a while while I was at 123 Stitch ...well I did!  Maybe ill show you next post ;)

and I finally have another block done for Sandy Hook , and I love it ...I hope his family does too 

earlier today ...

Again I haven't stitched much during the weekdays but I have managed to make an angry face around my breaks too avoid looking friendly ...and people stay away !!! so I can work on my "at work" stitching 

I am finally done with them Ho's (heehee) , I read in a few facebook posts that some ladies did not have enough of the Spinach - Crescent Colors threads , So my plan was to stitch the letters first and get that done then if I ran out whatever else could be done with another color or thread, but for now it looks like I will be fine 

I finished the letters and still have about 4 out of 6 strands so I think I'll have enough for the random parts where Spinach is needed 

And I was bad again! .... I bought another HAED ! and huge one! 

but I had too!! ain't it awesome??? Ive always LOVED anything related to Alice in Wonderland and the artist is coming out with Alice, Cheshire .. MAD HATTER !!! ♥♥♥ and the white rabbit too , I know I'll need another two lifetimes on top of the 4 I need to be able to stitch what I already have ...but they're awesome! and it doesn't hurt to have them on hand ...in case I live that long ;) 

I already ordered the fabric , some 20ct Evenweave an 18x27 piece (that would only give me about 1½ " on top and bottom and 2" on the sides ...but it'll be fine) and I cant wait for my fabric to get here so I can get started !!! 

So for the past few weeks Ive been on a emotional roller coaster thanks to my self assigned Grey's Anatomy Marathon, I am now on season 8 I think and there has not been a single episode where I have not shed a tear! lol I'm usually good with these kind of things ...but man! its so sad! ='( ...the day I watched the episodes when George Dies omg I went to work the next day with my eyes so puffy !!! I couldn't stop 

but I gotta say my surgeon skills are getting better! ;) I swear I think I'm a surgeon when I'm done watching haha 

right now I'm not watching because my WiFi is acting up so I thought Id let it rest for a while 

so it's almost midnight here so I gotta get to bed, maybe I'll stitch for a little more ...I started something small so I can take a break from block stitching and start planning the next one

** for Linda ** I tried replying to your email but my Internet never wants to work when I want too, but ! you asked where I get these designs ...I think most of my Disney charts I've gotten them on eBay ...most of them are part of a book, since I'm a Disney junkie I have a search saved as Disney Cross stitch and as soon as I see some I NEED I grab it, all the princess stuff too since Alondra loves them =)

as much as I tried I could not fix it ! I am missing not one or two THREE stitches ! dunno where ..and when I realized as I was spending more time trying to figure out where out to the trash it went =(

I started another but I think its too small so I'll try to figure out what else I will add to it ...and I forgot to take a picture so ill show you next time 

After my start and snow white fiasco I didn't stitch much ...and throughout the week not at all! I had so much to do! kindergarten is so hard! lol

Valentine's

I had to to 34 loot bags for every kid in Alondra's Class for Valentines ... 17 boys 17 girls 

we had Disney Princesses for the girls & Toy Story for the boys =)

100th day of school

then Friday was the 100th day of Class and Mrs Alegre had asked 10 mom to bring again 34 bags with 10 Pieces of Candy in each one so at the end of the day kids would go home with 100 freaking pieces of candy o_O! ... there was no way I was going to sign up for that I still had valentines and a project to do, but two moms dropped out and the teacher caught my mom as she was dropping Alondra off and asked if I could do it =( lol so after work I had to stop to buy tons of candy ...all the baggies had to have the same amount of candy in them so I had to redo them like five times because I kept running out ! ....oh and in the end I didn't have enough bags and ended up using the baggies that didn't arrive on time for Alondra's Birthday ...I think they looked cute even thou they weren't all the same like she wanted ...at least the candies were =P

the project 

sooo the very last day! Thursday I (yes I lol) still had to work on the 100 things she loves, I had spent the last two days printing and stealing pictures from all my friends and family and google I think it turned out cute ...

Alondra said the rest of the kids did 10 pcs of random stuff they likes =( like Isaac had 10 packs of ketchup ...10 cheerios ...10 chocolates 

that would've been a WHOLE lot easier

Noah's Sub 2/17/13

and finally some stitching ! yesterday I decided that it was time to stitch a little something ...a little something turned into this very neglected UFO, I see from my notes that I started on this 9/6/06 =D ... 6½ years later I finally have zebras! and I'm almost done with the sky on page 1

This little project is backstitching torture for me! it has tons of it! ...what is it with stoney creek with their confetti and backstitching??? I hate those two things about stitching, so if I continue working on this I think I will do the back stitching by page ...i don't know theres tons of it and I think that and all the color changes is what puts me off of this one , but like they say one stitch at a time ..right?

That will cost 1 Dollar =)

Alondra is already trying to read and write on her own ...with a little imagination and creativity you can already understand the things she writes

12 more weeks of school and my baby will be graduating from kindergarten =') its all happening so fast ! 

OK one load is out from the dryer and I gotta  hang them while they're still warm because ... well I don't iron lol so I wish you all the best of weeks! and I'll see you all very soon ! hugs ♥

this is day 3 progress ...and now I have to frog a bit because the heart is three stitches off ...maybe more idk 

Im having issues with the quarter stitches ...theyre being a PIA ...I think I need a working copy so I can cross off the rows as I stitch them so I dont get so lost but that'll have to wait until Monday ...in the meantime I guess I'll push thru ...or work on something else because its driving me bonkers 

...and really I dont want bad feeling about these blocks ...you know? theyre for these beautiful kids and the least I want to think about its how much its annoying me ..so I guess this will be monday's wip =) 

bad thing is Im also too lazy to pull something else out lol ... I have enough of a mess as it is !! ... 

guess a long warm shower and continuing my Grey's Anatomy marathon is my best choice 

OMG!! almost forgot to mention !! ...I got new stash!!! Totally made my day today! but I didnt take a picture I'll share with you what I got in my next post ;) ...Im sure You'll all approve

but yesterday I did finally grab some needle and thread and work for about an hour QCII

2nd Finish ...and some progress =)

Square squares and more squares is what ive been up to lately ... well mostly just one 

its for sweet baby Bailee ...she is a 17 month old who recently passed away from a Brain tumor =( 

I had seen the posts going around on facebook about her being sick ...and updates, So a lovely lady Jenetta who is also doing some Sandy Hook Squares arranged for a quilt for her too =) 

so the theme is Pink & Yellow butterflies 

and I chose to do EMS Spring Butterfly baby and convert the beigeish body into pink =) ...in the picture the wings looked yellowish to me but now that theyre stitched theyre really not, the darkest shade is 676 and thats just a very light gold tone the rests is all different shades of white-ish ...but Im happy with the pink body 

what I dont know now is if I should stitch all the grass at the bottom ...since theres a February deadline and im still watitng for the threads =/...we'll see 

Anyways ! ...onto the finish~ 

After the Pooh block I took a little time off from square and decided to get this one finished =)

I finally finished my 1st square for the Sandy Hook Quilts =)..this square is for Madeleine, I chose it for her because from her pictures she always stood out to me ...maybe because she reminded me of Alondra ...her Bio says she had the personality like her dresses Fun Springy! with lots of butterflies and flowers and over all she was a lovely little girl ...I hope her family likes it 

I finished it on the 6th because on the 5th it was this little girl's 6th Birthday

I cant believe my baby is 6 !! its gone by so fast! ... :') ..most of the day I pretended to be devastated and crying just so she would get a shy and tell me Moooooooom I'm still gonna be your baby ! even when I'm a grownup like when I'm 8 ! *heehee* , she went back to school the following Monday so it was a crazy weekend 

She had some cake and a small dinner with grandma and one of my uncles, then on the 26 were going to have a party for her since she's really never had one because of her birthday being so soon after the holidays =) 

on the stitchy side of things ....dang it! its cold! I haven't been able to stitch much because my hands and fingers hurt =( ...you know like that feeling you get when you need to crack your fingers? ...well its like that but it doesn't go away =( I've also woken up with cramps in my hands ...that tingle and heaviness you get when your leg "falls sleep" ..well that but in my hands

hopefully it goes away soon, we've been turning on the heat on for the past two days 

for now I'm trying to finish my CCN Santa's House and its looking pretty close to a happy dance (finally!) then I'll be starting my next block for Bailee =) 

for now I gotta go finish that block while the fingers are warm =) i wish you all the bestest weekend ever! and an even better week to come

and although I am not as determined because like I said my priority these months are the Sandy Hook Squares (and another one I just signed up for =( a beautiful almost 1 yr old passed away this Friday ) I do want to get a few out of the way ..some I havent touched in years ..some in months or weeks but I will finish some ..a few ...well maybe 1 or 2 lol
